Testimonials

The evening with Tastoria was a wonderful experience. It was great to enjoy the selection of wines which were expertly paired with the food. It is also nice to do this in the comfort of your own home which removes the potential intimidation factor that can be available at a public tasting event. I will definitely do...

    About Me

I am a winegrower who is as comfortable in the vineyard as well as the cellar. I've worked with Stags Leap District fruit for more than 30 years and in the process have become an acknowledged leader in growing and crafting wines from the district.
A University of Oregon graduate in Biology, I began my career at Martin Ray in the mid-1970s. I came to Chimney Rock Winery in Napa's Stags Leap District in 1987 and oversaw the replanting of the original estate vineyard, as well as 65 acres of additional plantings done under the Terlato Family's leadership in 2001.
In 2006, I was appointed Vice President of Winemaking for the Terlato Wine Group. I oversee all aspects of winemaking at the Terlato properties-including Episode, Chimney Rock, Rutherford Hill, Terlato Family Vineyards, Alderbrook, and Sanford. Additionally, I serve as a senior consultant to the Terlato Family's joint ventures throughout the world.

    My Chalkboard

    Owner's note:

Life's too short to drink bad wine.
