Testimonials

Tastoria is a great way to spend an evening. Everyone gets involved in the wine, food and excitement of the event. Key to this seems to be picking great wines and that has been done by the CEO - Catherine. Go Tastoria! Great idea! Excellent service and product!

My Wine Bio

Occupation:
Presenter/Writer

Reason for being a Tastorian:
I am starting to get interested in wine.

Where did you hear about Tastoria?:
Via The Stage

Wine epiphany:
Now, red wine is something that you mature into and once discovered you cant seem to get enough. The initial stage is the fun part, trying as many differnt bottles to discover your favourite. Light- medium quickly became a hot favourite. Then once my father decided to buy a property and vine yards in France that is when the knowledge behind the grapes and the process involved rounded my whole look on wine. It went from an enjoyable drink with a meal to discovering the history and facts.

Memorable wine experience:
Discovering red wine in an old pub, with the fire roaring. We made our way through the red wine list and settled on the Pinot Noir as our favourite.

Funniest wine experience:
After the above experience we had got so caught up and excited trying all the different wines we forgot the after effects and had to somewhat crawl out of the pub. Not really very sophisticated. However, i would not change that discovery for anything.

Death-bed Wine:
A chilean Pinot Noir

Biggest wine disappointment:
White wines, I have yet to find a white wine that i actually am passionate about. I had a glass of a fruity sweet white at an engagement party that was truelly sumptuos however, didnt get the name and cannot find it since.

My Vineyard:
My fathers in Dijon (once ready)

Hi Nicci, great to have you as a Tastorian. I would be interested to know the name of the vineyard that your father is involved with and the village. Best wishes James
